To enjoy with nachos
Ingredients:
- 2-3 pads of Opuntia ficus-indica
- 1 large, ripe red tomato
- 1/2 yellow onion
- 1 fresh bunch of cilantro
- Lime juice
- Wild Voatsiperifery Pepper (or your choice)
Steps:
- Remove the glochids from the pads by scraping them off with a knife.
- Cut the pads into 1 cm pieces.
- Cut the tomatoes and onion into small cubes.
- Mix the cactus, tomato, and onion, add the shredded cilantro, and sprinkle everything with lime juice.
Spice it up :
Add Jalapeño peppers to your mix to give it a little punch.
