To enjoy with nachos

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 pads of Opuntia ficus-indica
  • 1 large, ripe red tomato
  • 1/2 yellow onion
  • 1 fresh bunch of cilantro
  • Lime juice
  • Wild Voatsiperifery Pepper (or your choice)
Salsa Mexicaine

Steps:

  1. Remove the glochids from the pads by scraping them off with a knife.
  2. Cut the pads into 1 cm pieces.
  3. Cut the tomatoes and onion into small cubes.
  4. Mix the cactus, tomato, and onion, add the shredded cilantro, and sprinkle everything with lime juice.

Spice it up :

Add Jalapeño peppers to your mix to give it a little punch.
